Fundraising Fight Nights are proud to unveil “The Battle of Breaffy” a white collar boxing event on Saturday 18th of October 2014 in Breaffy House Sports Arena, Breaffy, Castlebar. Unlike anything the parish has witnessed before “The Battle of Breaffy” promises to be a boxing bonanza full of excitement, rivalry and entertainment. For one night only 30 brave fighters from the same proud parish will go toe to toe in a bid to raise valuable funds for their beloved club.
Balla GAA Club and Manulla Football Club provide a vital link to all aspects of a team sport in the local community. For the first time the two clubs have teamed up together in order to raise funds to promote, foster and develop GAA and Football in their local rural area. All fighters will undertake an intense six week training camp where they will push their bodies and minds to the limit for a shot at the title. After the training camp under the bright lights of Breaffy House Sports Arena where greats such as Bernard Dunne and Henry Coyle fought in the past, fighters will enter the ring and go head to head to raise money for their much-loved club. Loyalties will be left outside the ring as these White Collar Warriors undertake the ultimate challenge in front of their family, friends and local community. Wear your parish colours proudly and come out to support these courageous fighters in what is sure to be a fundraising fight night like no other and a great community event.
